About this test
A digital X-ray takes pictures of bones and some soft tissues using a small, controlled amount of radiation. Images are available quickly for your doctor to review.

How to prepare
- Bring your doctor’s referral or prescription
- Wear loose clothing without metal zips or buttons
- Remove jewellery and metal items from the area
- Tell the radiographer if you are or might be pregnant

- Positioning by the radiographer
